A Feel of Professional Braids at Kiki Salon
For Kiki, as she is affectionately called, the art and act of hair braiding is a gift from God, it only took her a little bit of effort and training, spiced with commitment to get her to where she is now.

Customers from all over Ghana to come to her, “sometimes as early as 5AM there is a knock on my door and it is a customer from Tamale, the Northern part of Ghana right in-front on my door, hoping for a nice braid,” she said.
Kiki’s Beauty Salon, located at Tema Community two, a suburb in Ghana, near the famous Agbamaame spot, started on a “table top,” but now operates what one would describe as a first class salon and she hints that a new branch would be opened soon in Dawenya, a suburb in Ghana in a grand style.

Kiki attracts over 60 people on a daily basis and now trains about 28 students in hair braiding.
Joyce Kiki Sulley, born to Beatrice and Joseph Akpoyroe some 40 years ago, could not go through the normal educational systems due to financial constraints, she was therefore sent to a vocational school.

However, after her vocational education, she realized that her interest was in hair dressing and she pursued it with a passion, after some time of practice in Ghana, Kiki realized she needed to perfect her God given talent and so travelled to The Netherlands to train herself further in African braids.

Kiki’s Beauty Salon is now expert in all types of braids, corn-roll, twists, dread locks, Rasta and whatever kind of braid one can think of as long as it is braids it can be done.
She braids with the natural hair and does same with the wig or weave-on, according to Kiki more African women are drifting from having a permed hair to braids because the braids lasts longer and it is healthier for the hair.

“But I am not limited to braids,” she says I still do permed hair, weave-on, pedicure and manicure and the new branch would have a gym, will do eye lashes and all the beauty goodies, Kiki also sells the best of beauty products, hair creams, jewelry, accessories and facial products and says, “I am available for all kind of contracts as long as it is related to hair.

For you out there why not try Kiki for a professional touch to your usual braids!
